What to expect:

Seeking therapy and meeting with a new therapist can be a daunting experience. Before booking an appointment with me, we will have a brief phone conversation to work out what you might be seeking from therapy and if you have any particular ideas, expectations or needs to support you to be more comfortable during our sessions.

Getting started

The first session will be an extension of our introductory phone call. Some people like to provide an overview of their personal history or the themes and patterns they are aware of in their life that they’d like to work on, others prefer to start by working with a specific experience that has motivated them to seek therapy.

Depending on your preferences, we may incorporate some somatics and embodiment practices.

A collaborative approach

Therapy sessions are tailored to the specific needs and experiences of each person and what is happening for you on the day.

We will begin with a check in to see if there's a particular issue or experience of focus for the session. Depending on your preferences and needs, we might start with body-based, somatics or mindfulness practices to help settle into the session and bring more awareness, or we might start with a more talk-therapy approach.

Sessions can be in-person or online. For more information about the space for in-person sessions, see below.

To arrange a time for a brief introductory phone conversation, please get in touch through the contact form or by sending me an email. If you would prefer to skip the introductory phone conversation, please indicate so in your email.

The space:

In-person sessions are located in the offices at The Block Arcade, 282 Collins St, Naarm. The building is close to trams, trains and buses in the CBD.

Our room is on the first floor of the building and is fully wheelchair accessible. There is also an accessible bathroom next to our room. While we do not have a completely private waiting room, there’s a chair in the hallway outside the room.
